Grip the hook with the open part of the crimp facing externally by use of plier. Insert the open part of crimp into orthodontic archwire while moving plier. Apply force to the plier for squeezing the crimpable part. Remove the plier from the crimpable hook. You can cut into the proper length of hook with a cutte.
